Introduction to the Feed the Nation walk

Okoa Maisha (Feed The Nation) walk 2011 is an initiative of Sustainable Development For All-Kenya (http://sdfa-kenya.org) that will ensure Kenyans do not starve again.

The Walk will start in Mombasa on 5th September 2011 and end in Malaba on 30th November 2011.

OBJECTIVE

• To raise Kshs.1-Billion, in a build-up from the Kenyans4Kenya Emergency Response Campaign, to establish sustainable and practical model projects in the perennially drought-stricken areas on Water Harvesting, Water Storage, Food and Livestock Production and the Utilization of Green/Renewable Energy; to mark the beginning of breaking the present endless cycle of emergency response to famine.
